PILATES
Pilates, originally created by Joseph Pilates, is a global systems of exercises that engage the entire body in each exercise with concentration moving from a strong core “powerhouse.” Pilates can help heal injury as well as increase strength and alignment to prevent future injury. What makes Pilates unique is that it reinforces core strength as if you are wearing a steel belt including your gluteal muscles and lower back. It helps you recognize your irregularities and improve symmetrical movements, and can rejuvenate your overall sense of well being.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage is a manual therapy moving soft tissue that allows our body to heal itself. Massage relieves back pain, improves circulation and tonicity of our muscular system, and promotes relaxation and restful sleep. I utilize a combination of Swedish Massage and Soma Therapy practices to maintain and restore health and wellness.
SOMA TRAINING & ELDOA
Soma Training is a personal training method that reinforces muscle strength and mobility, and increases propioception awareness in the joints. It utilizes myofascial stretching and global postural stretching--all of which is linked together to improve quality of physical movement and function. The ELDOA are postural exercises within Soma Training that increase space within a given joint, which in turn, improves joint mechanics, increases blood flow, reduces pressure and pain, and improves your posture and sense of well-being.
WELLNESS CONSULTATION
A Wellness Consultation includes a physical assessment to develop a personalized program—including at-home exercises—to address issues, complement and support existing therapies, and achieve wellness goals.
